MOFCOM Together with Seven Other Ministries Released Guidance Lines Supporting Development of name Brands Export

The Ministry of Commerce, Commission of Development and Reform, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, Customs General Administration, State Administration of Taxation, State Administration for Industry and Commerce and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China jointly released Guidance lines supporting development of name brands export.

The Guidance pointed out that to implement the strategy of name brand export, strengthen build-up of own brands and cultivate a batch of export name brands are important means to strengthen international competition and comprehensive national power, and is a inevitable choice to transform ways of foreign trade growth and realize sustainable development, and an objective requirement to construct well-off society.

The guidance required that each region, department and section should have consensus of understanding, make the goal clear and definite, actively implement the strategy of export brands; support and advance science and technology to strengthen competition of export name brands; strengthen to expand market and encourage export enterprises with own brands to step up “Going out” on the basis of integration of internal and external trade; transform ideas and advance service to provide trade convenience for export enterprises with own brands; enlarge propaganda, protect IPR, and create good environment for public opinion and market; stay at one’s post, strengthen motivation of the enterprises and bring coordination and service of industry into full play.

The guidance brought up that depending on policy support of government at each level, and intermediary organizations cooperation with each other, export enterprise grope in the practice. Cultivate a batch of independent brands with international influence, and each region and section would have flagship brands to pull up export.
